New Blog!!

  So, I'm a terrible blogger....... It has been over a month since I last posted...... again..... I've been reading....and working on schoolwork.....and obviously always having excuses for why I keep forgetting to post.... So, just what I need is another blog to try and make posts for along with the other three that I already have!! My best friend Shels and I have created a blog for complete and total awesomeness!   Even though this was a week ago, I'm still going to tell you how Shels decided that pizza was better than me.....Somehow it was decided that Shels would rather have pizza over me.....she said that pizza doesn't sass back and that pizza also won't complain when you eat it......yes, I have incredibly strange friends......XD

  Wow....now that I'm actually posting I can't think of what else I was going to say......This is why I've started putting notes on my laptop with ideas for blog posts! Well, I guess I'm done for now...Hopefully I'll post tomorrow! But I have four of my cousins over for the weekend, we're going to see my friends' play tomorrow night, and I'm going with some of my friends to see the Nutcracker ballet Sunday afternoon! Random Facts About Me!

Okay, so thanks to my wonderful randomizer app, I have decided to make a post with random facts about me! So let's see.... I'm gonna try to come up with ten....1. I'm five foot nine so I'm taller than every single one of my friends... 2. I can't go anywhere without my headphones and a book! Even if I know I'm probably not going to read the book, it still comes with me! 3. I love any sort of pasta! (I actually just had some for lunch!) 4. I'm trying very hard to grow out my nails and so far I'm doing well except for the fact that one of my nails broke last night....T.T 5. I currently have about five stories that are partially written because I keep coming up with new ideas and I don't want to forget them... 6. It is a rare time that I'm reading only one book at a time...(I'm currently in the middle of three...) 7. I almost always take my glasses off whenever I read... 8. For some reason I love checking the mail even though I rarely get any... 9. I'm currently watching the Disney XD show Lab Rats on Nettflix... and finally....10. I just recently made an Instagram account for my books...XD Okay! Coming up with those last few was pretty hard!!

BTW - So, the day before yesterday I only had five page views and then yesterday I had 38!!! I'm not entirely sure how that happened, but I think it's really awesome!!! I've been curious about who reads my blogs for a while now, so if you want, feel free to comment if you read them!!

Okay, so I am using this post to partially talk about how much I love mine and my friend's story that I'm writing, and partially brag about my best friend's artwork! Our story is a Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus fanfiction about the children of the main characters which are called legacies! Therefore, the name of the story is called Legacies of Olympus! The bottom right pic is of Bianca di Angelo who's a legacy of Hades in our story! All three pics were drawn by one of my best friends and these three are also edits I did using my Picsart app! I hope you enjoy looking at them!

Sorry!!

  Well.....I'm back....again.... Apparently a month away from home with a brand new baby to cuddle and a ton of schoolwork to stress over makes you completely forget the fact that you have a blog.....or two in my case....so I'm very sorry for forgetting to post!! I finally got back home on Monday after being in Indiana for over a month and visiting my aunt in Kentucky for a week! It was a lot of fun and I got lots of baby cuddles but I'm definitely happy to be home since we had to leave my dad and pets behind!
  I got to see my best friends Shelby, Abby, and Lilly for the first time in over a month this past Thursday! We started part one of our Marvel movie marathon that we're doing because I've never seen all of the movies and I really want to! We're watching them in chronological order so we watched the first Captain America and the first Iron Man movie, which were both very good but I wouldn't say I loved either of them... we were supposed to watch Iron Man 2 Thursday too but we had a late start and played two board games so we ran out of time to watch that one....
  I just realized I'm using paragraphs in a blog post for the first time ever.....0.o.....Okay then......well, I think this is it for now!! Hopefully I'll actually remember to post from now on!! I'll try to post every day, but it depends on my schoolwork... :/
  Oh!! And happy Halloween!!! The pic on the right is a pic of my Halloween card that my parents gave me along with the present that was in it! ^_^ And the left pic is one I edited using my Picsart app that I'm currently addicted to...XD

I'm back!!! Again!!

I'm back again!! Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Missing a couple days of doing my schoolwork has got me really behind so I've been trying to catch up these past few days! I got all of my Writing, Chemistry, and Spanish finished until next week, and hopefully I'll be able to get all caught up in Literature, Geometry, and Geography tomorrow! I have Google Chrome on my laptop now! The main reason was because I wanted to be able to personalize my homepage! XD I really like how Chrome is set up and it's definitely my favorite browser to use out of the ones I have on my laptop! (I have like four...) Also, my s.d. card in my phone ran out of space so I had to buy a new one the other day...I'm pretty sure it's a sad day when you have eleven albums on your phone where the second biggest one currently has 21 pics (my family album, filled with new niece pics! ^_^) and yet the biggest album is the Percy Jackson album that currently has 57 pics.....XD In case you haven't realized yet, I'm a huge fan.....I'm over halfway through with The Blood of Olympus (last book in the Heroes of Olympus series!!!) right now and I'm both really excited and really sad to finish it!! I'm not too sad though because I know I'm going to reread these books soon! XD Most of my family calls me weird because I reread books, but if I love a book/book series I'm going to read it again! A lot of my friends do it too! I'm leaving for Indiana soon and we're staying for a month so I'm bringing The Blood of Olympus (If I don't finish it before we leave!) and all four of the books in the Maze Runner series so I should have enough books to last me until I get back...Who knows, I might just bring another book with me just in case! Even if those four don't last me, I have my kindle and the kindle app on my phone that I can read on! I have to bring The Maze Runner series with me because I have to read The Kill Order, The Maze Runner (again!), and The Scorch Trials! At least! Three of my best friends and I are planning to watch The Scorch Trials when I get back but we're determined to wait until I get back, our shirts come in (my friend Abby is ordering customized shirts for all of us!), and I finish The Scorch Trials!! I don't like watching the movie without reading the book if it's something I really like so I really want to read the book while I'm gone! Man, this post was long! Which is totally awesome because this rarely happens and I love it when it does! I'll try and post again tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'll get the chance with schoolwork and the fact that I'm probably going to have to start packing tomorrow... Night!

Phone Charm!

 

Sorry I haven't posted in a while!! I have a lot of schoolwork!! So my best friend Shelby spent the night on Friday and she gave me this absolutely adorable phone charm! I love it sooo much!! I really wanna come up with a name for it.... Perhaps I shall think of a name while I attempt to write!! I might post again tonight if I can figure out another post!

School Again!!

Well, today was officially my first day of 10th grade.....I can't decide if I'm excited or not! There are certain subjects I'm really looking forward to, and certain subjects I could live my whole life without doing and be perfectly happy! I'm pretty excited about Creative Writing (Hopefully it'll help me with my stories!!), Spanish, and Geography...I don't particularly want to deal with Geometry....and I'm not quite sure about Chemistry and American Literature yet....Normally Literature would definitely be in the list of courses that I'm excited about, but one of the first things I have to do is read the Declaration of Independence which I'm not really looking forward to....but who knows? Maybe I'll start reading the Declaration and love it! I'm sure it could happen! (Probably not though...XD) On the bright side though, I get to read The Great Gatsby this year which I'm kinda excited for because I've never read it and I'm really curious now! As for Chemistry, I'll definitely have to wait to get into it before I decide my opinion on it...for the next couple of weeks it looks like it's only going to be mostly videos for me to watch, but who knows what will happen later on...I just realized it barely sounds like I'm still homeschooled....XD But there's multiple ways to tell that I am...1. My blog is still named "The Life of a Homeschooler" and 2. I'm writing a blog post at four in the morning.... Don't think I could do that if I was in public school! Okay, I probably need to go to bed now because I have three of my besties coming over tomorrow to visit before I go to Indiana to wait for my niece to be born!! Night!!

Nails at 5 A.M.!!!

 

 I almost forgot to name this post!!!!!!!!!! So anyway.....It's almost five in the morning and I totally just painted my nails.........I took nighttime cold medicine too....I should be out by now.....Oh well! XD I got blue nail polish all over my hand doing this too! Well, this is probably one of the most random posts ever....I'll try and post again tomorrow!! I dunno if I'll be able to or not because I have Arianna, Jae, and Leah staying with us and my cousins Lainey, Landon, Lincoln, and Lennox staying the weekend with us too so this is going to be a very insane weekend!! Hopefully I'll be able to get some peace and quiet at some point! And I'm starting school this Monday so I'm hoping I'll still be able to post every day (Even though I've been very bad at it lately...) though I may have to skip some days depending on how 10th grade is....9th grade was torture.....XD Well. I should probably try and go to bed now! Night!!

Purse Tour!

 

So, I was organizing my purse last night and I decided I might as well make a "what's in my purse" post while I have everything out anyway... I can't really believe that all of this fit in there.....but it did...XD

So I had 2 Dairy Queen receipts, a dance class receipt, a library receipt, a Walmart receipt, a ticket to a Chicago Bulls playoff game along with a set of contest cards, a wrist band (because we had box seats!) and a list of raffle numbers, about 8 green twist ties from the grocery store, a plaster (or something) egg, a sticky note with a drawing of my brother that my cousin drew, a small notebook, 2 pairs of headphones, four extra headphone covers, an eyeglass repair kit, a package of tissues, a portable battery, a book (I finally found one that can fit in my purse!!), 2 pens, 2 pencils, 2 business cards, a little penguin that my friend made me (whose nose accidentally fell off so I have to fix it...), a nail file, two packs of gum (one only has like two pieces left in it), a sheet of Doc McStuffins stickers that my niece gave me, 3 movie tickets (Insurgent, Cinderella, and Age of Adaline), a headband, my wallet, a nail file, three bottles of nail polish, a container of cover up, my MP3 player, my key chain (which has more key chains than keys...), a gumball from my sister's baby shower, a pack of Smarties (which my niece Arianna stole...), 3 ponytail holders (one of which is broken), a necklace, a ring, 3 bottles of lip balm, one bottle of hand sanitizer, a pin that Arianna gave me, and an old Wendy's keychain! Wow......that's a lot.....XD XD XD Oh! And Arianna decided to pop into the picture!! XD

 That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!! I know I don't usually post this early, but I was bored...XD I didn't post Saturday because I didn't have access to internet and yesterday I was really tired and we were at my sister's baby shower! So, I figured I'd try out the whole "Throwback Thursday" thing.... I found this old pic on my phone! I'm pretty sure this picture is from either 2008 or 2009...This is a picture of me (right) and my friend Annalee (left) at a Secret Keeper Girl show. In case you didn't know, Secret Keeper Girl is a Christian group for girls. The one main thing I remember from this is that they let everyone pick out bracelets and Annalee and I grabbed the same ones without noticing until we got back to our seats! I can't believe how round faced I am in this pic!! Those were my first pair of glasses too!!!

House Tour!!

So today I'm going to give a partial house tour! The laundry room, my brother's room, and my parents' room are not included in this, but the rest is! The picture directly underneath is our front door/entry way :)

This is our library! Technically it's supposed to be the formal dining room, but we didn't really need one and my mom and I have always wanted a library in our house so now we finally have one!!

This is part of our kitchen! I love the cabinets and counter tops in our kitchen! I couldn't get the whole kitchen in here because of where I was standing, but really the only thing to the left is the sink and a bunch of cabinets....

Here's our actual dining room! You probably can't tell, but the little things hanging in the windows are little stuffed owls...XD Where the green rug is in the back corner is the door that leads to the backyard :) Annabelle decided to make a guest appearance.....XD

Here's the living room! Our couch is the most amazing ever!! It's soft! And super comfy!! We usually have a big round swivel chair on the right, but we had to send it to get fixed...:/ That's my special reading chair too!

This is the spare bedroom which is kinda being used for a storage room/study/partial library for the moment! XD I sit at that desk when I need total quiet for schoolwork...

And finally, here's my bedroom! Or at least my bed! I have wall stickers instead of a headboard....to the left of my bed is a bookshelf...(of course!) and to the right is my side table with my lamp on it :) Then on the right wall is my vanity where all of my jewelry and headbands/hairclips are, and directly across from my bed is my bookshelf with my favorite books (because I insist on my faves being in my bedroom) with my tv and dvd player on top!

Pet Introduction!!

So, I found so many post ideas on Pinterest last night that I put them in the randomizer app that I have on my phone...(yes, I have a randomizer app.....I can be incredibly indecisive.....) Anyway, my phone has helped me choose to introduce my pets! I know I posted pics of my cats when I first started this blog a few years ago, but we've gotten new ones and lost old ones since then, plus I don't think I ever posted pics of my dogs, so they shall be posted today! 

 I figured I'd go from oldest to youngest so here's Boots! We've had him since he was born (we had his mom too but we gave her away with her last kitten) and now he's 8! I call him an old man...he definitely acts like it sometimes! Boots is definitely the most spoiled out of all of them! Or at least, I spoil him! His brother Blackers (I named them when I was 6 so yes, his name was Blackers...) died a few months ago of Feline Leukemia :/ As for the picture, my cousin Lainey
and I were playing Monopoly a few weeks ago and he decided to steal the lid....he broke the corner that his tail is hanging over too...

  Next is Annabelle! She's only about a month younger than Boots (She was born in May and he was born in April) so she's also 8. We've had her since she was a few months old and she loves my mom! Which is hilarious because my mom doesn't pet her a lot or anything, but she still follows her everywhere! And even if we only leave the house for ten minutes she acts like we've been gone for a year!

This is my fat little Biscuit! He's gonna be 6 this November! We literally say that he's our little pig...his legs are incredibly short....He loves me almost as much as Annabelle loves my mom! (And I love him right back!)

This kitty on the left is Eve. She's the momma of the twins (whose pics are below this one!) and she's around two years old I think. We're not exactly sure how old she is because she was a stray... I love her markings so much! Only one of her kittens got the same markings and she was one of the first to be given away... What's really pitiful is that when we were taking her to the vet the first time, I had called her Momma Kitty so much that I completely forgot her name and when I asked my brother, he had to think about it! I still call her Momma Kitty more than her real name....I don't think anyone really uses her actual name anymore....






This is the Brenya! She's the first of the twins. She just turned a year old last month!  We had six kittens altogether but we gave away four of them and Brenya and her sister were the ones no one wanted when we moved... So now we have more cats!! We pretty much consider her as my brother's cat, but I love her too! My brother accidentally got her addicted to coffee by spilling a bit on the patio table and instead of licking it, the wacko cat decides to start rolling in it!!! You can always tell the difference between her and her sister for multiple reasons... 1. Brenya's meows sound more like a bird chirp than an actual meow... 2. She's fatter than her sister... 3. She has darker markings around her mouth and her eyes have a bit more of a greenish tint where as Maggie's are yellow and 4. Brenya purrs really loudly and you can't hear Mags purring unless you put your ear right up to her!



Last but not least is Maggie! She's my floppy little thing! Almost every time you talk to her or even look at her she'll flop onto her side and start rolling on her back and staring at you upside down... She loves me for some reason and I really couldn't understand it at first, but now I love her too! Whenever I go outside when she is, she'll come up and rub against my ankles and then just stand in between my feet...

Wow! That's a really long post!! Pinterest definitely helped! Bye till tomorrow!

The Amazingness of Pinterest!

I officially love Pinterest!! I loved it before now of course because it gave me Percy Jackson awesomeness and everything else that I love, but now it's helping me with my blog too! Or at least hopefully! One of the reasons it takes me so long between posts on this blog is because it's really hard for me to think of post ideas most of the time...so I told my friend today and she suggested I search "blog post ideas" on Pinterest! It really worked! I got about fourteen different ideas off of it and I'm gonna use one of the ideas tomorrow! Hopefully it won't be days or weeks in between posts anymore!! ^_^

Sleepover!!

So, it's been five days since my last post....totally didn't mean for that to happen!! I meant to post last night but I spent the night at my best friends' house and we didn't stop talking until 3 A.M.! So last night we got to eat amazing pork chops and wild rice for dinner and we made chocolate pudding for dessert while watching Harry Potter movies! Even though we technically never actually watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince because I was too busy watching one of my besties play Skyrim while video chatting with another one of my besties! I also got to eat Japanese food tonight! It was very good (especially the chicken yakisoba!)! Except for the Miso soup.....seaweed and tofu.....completely disgusting in my opinion!! But we got to have chocolate chip cookies for dessert tonight! They were really good! I also got to meet my friends' new dog for the first time while I was there! She's really big and doesn't like strangers, but she's a big sweetie when she gets used to you! Well, I think that's it for now! Night!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

 Happy Fourth of July!!! Sorry I haven't posted in a month!! (Wow! I didn't realize it was that long ago!) We've had my cousins over for a long time! One of the amazing reasons to love Summer! I know it's technically July 5th now, but I was determined to post on my blogs tonight! This pic, awesomely enough, was taken from my backyard! My neighbors had a big fourth of July party and we also had neighbors down the street on both sides of us and across the street from us shooting fireworks so we were surrounded! It was awesome! We also got to go and hear Darius Rucker live last night at our city's Fourth of July celebration along with some of the most amazing fireworks ever! Our Fourth of July concert's fireworks never disappoint! Good night!!

Amazing Day!

 The pic of the sunset in this post was the perfect ending to an amazing day spent with my parents, cousin, and grandma yesterday for my grandma's birthday! She turned 81 yesterday and we spent the whole day with her and didn't get home until about 11! We had the smallest burgers in history for dinner! The meat wasn't much bigger than a quarter! (Though I may be exaggerating a bit!) I'll probably make another post a little bit later but I wanted to post these pics!

Lesson Learned!

I have officially learned that it is not a good idea to go horseback riding for an hour in 90 degree weather with the sun beating down on you, no water, and no hat...Apparently you can get very dizzy from getting too hot and almost pass out...not a good lesson to learn! And on the first day that I actually had enough upper body strength to get into the saddle without help too!!! Guess I should have listened when my mom said wear a hat! I definitely will next week! I'll be bringing a bottle of water with me too!

Disney Night!

The things you learn when you're doing a Disney crossword puzzle with your 9-year-old cousin... So my cousin Lainey is spending the week with us because she just got out of school and we are officially having Disney movie night(s) because this poor, deprived child has never seen Alice in Wonderland or Aladdin!! (The others in this pile were just ones we wanted to watch) My mom says Lainey isn't deprived if she hasn't seen Alice in Wonderland because she doesn't particularly like that one, but we both agree that not having seen Aladdin definitely makes you deprived! So far, we have watched The Incredibles, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. I'm making sure she watches Alice in Wonderland before she goes home though!! ;) :D

I'm back!!

Okay!! So I know it's past midnight, but I really wanted to put a post on here tonight!! It's been sooo long since I've been on here! I'm determined to get on this one and my new book blog hopefully every day! :D So I'm just gonna start over! We just got back from a two week long trip to Indiana last night! I'll be 15 next week!! We moved last summer!! And my sister is going to have her first baby!! I can't wait to have a new baby to cuddle in August!! Hopefully I'll have more to talk about tomorrow when I'm not tired!!
